Snuttock

Carved & Sutured

It's hard to write a review for an album that is mostly remixes and it's even tougher when the band isn't even signed to a label. Those minor complaints aside this album rocks of pure industrial music. You probably won't find this bands music in stores, but that's what the Internet is for; go to Snuttock.com and order a copy for yourself.

The Residents

The Voice Of Midnight
Cryptic corporation (mute records limited)

This album tells the story of "Der Sandman" by E.T.A Hoffman in twelve tracks. The majority of the lyrics are spoken. All of the music is unbelievably beautiful. This whole album feels like a Tim Burton movie. If you like the residents or concept albums; you can't go wrong with this one.

Blunt Force Volume
Spiral Chords records

Great percussion. Guitar riffs are basic but fitting for this style of music. Lyrics are good and dark. Vocals range from inaudible and distorted to clear as day. The keyboard steals the show. This band has a lot of talent; industrial fans will have a new favorite band to add to their list.

Saints of Ruin

Fairytale
Dark Ruin Publishing

The singer has a good voice. Guitar is basic, but has some decent solos. Bass
has rhythm and hits hard. Drums are lackluster but keep time and tempo. The
keyboards are the highlight of this album. This band should be gaining in
popularity within the goth scene.

Hell On Earth

Hell On Earth, Demon Alien Angels

Demon Alien Angels
Neptune records

The singer sounds like Marilyn Manson. The keyboards are awesome. Bass riffs are
good but not great. Guitar riffs sound like filler. Drums are great for this
style of music. This is a weird album that experiments with a lot of different
styles of music, there is something here for everyone.

Litany for the Whale

Dolores
Teenage Disco Bloodbath Records

Lyrics are dark. The vocals sound great. The guitar riffs are slow then fast and
heavily punk influenced sprinkled with a little classical inspiration; bass is
the same as the guitar. The drums are alright but not the best. This band does a
decent job with heavy punk.

Nightmares
Dream Makers Music

Every song is about a girl or a broken heart. Most guitar riffs sound the same
except for a few short moments. Drums are decent but not special. Vocals are
weak and sound identical on all tracks.

The Acacia Strain

Continent
Prosthetic Records

Death metal at its finest. Angry lyrics full of rage and a hate filled screamer
to back them up. Murderous guitar riffs keep time and are always changing every
few bars. The drums are impressive and never break time or tempo. This album is
a must buy for any death metal fan.

In Tenebris

In Tenebris

Beautiful vocals, dark lyrics. Haunting keyboard programming is used very
Effectively. Guitar riffs are basic but heavy and sound more like filler. Bass
is low and hits hard. Drums keep tempo and have a good rhythm but leave much to
be desired. This band will definitely be a hit in the Goth crowd.
